The BUHS Boys Soccer team traveled to Bakersfield to attend the South High Tournament. The Broncos played four games losing just once.The Broncos opened tournament play with a match against High Desert League opponent Rosamond. Bishop came out on top defeating the Roadrunners 2-1.
Next up the Broncos suffered a tough loss of 7-0 to Porterville High School, Broncos then proceeded to play Shafter winning 2-1 with Hector Ramirez( Senior) scoring the only two goals.
Ramirez scored the goals just prior to getting injured in the final minutes of the game.
Next up the Broncos faced North High School winning 2-0 with Karsen Hohenstein (Junior) scoring the opening goal within the first two minutes of the game. Dayki Ramirez (Sophomore) made it 2-0 just before half time. With the win the Broncos finished 3rd place in their pool. The game was tainted by a fight in the final moments of the game. Bronco Milton Michel (Senior) was attacked from behind and received a red card for fighting.
Broncos have an away game against Kern Valley, on 12/11/24. Best of luck to all Bronco soccer players, and bring home the victory.
