On Friday March 31, the Bishop Bronco Varsity Girls Softball team won against Boron at their home field.  The girls started the game with pitcher Chay Johnson pitching 7 innings 5 runs, 4 hits 5K’s, and 3 BBs. The following stats are from Head Coach Van Nest.

Offensively,
Shawnau Johnson 5 for 5 with 3 triplets and 4 RBI’s
Chay Johnson 3 for 4 with a homerun and 4 RBI’s
Alondra Ojeda 2 for 5 with a double
Peyton Tetrick 2 for 5
Hannah Waasdorp 1 for 3 with a homerun 2 RBI’s
Drew Dondero 1 for 4 with a double
Julie Cepeda 1 for 2
Vic Begay 1 for 4

“We were down 5-3 after 4 innings. Our bats came alive in the 5th inning with 8 hits and scored 8 runs taking advantage of only 1 error. The coaches loved that these Broncos never give up. We are now 7-1-1 and have league play at rival Kern Valley on Tuesday.”  Coach Van Nest
