The Broncos advance to the CIF semifinals with a 14-7 win over Santa Ynez Friday night.
The game was tied at 7 at the half with Bishop getting a touchdown pass from Emory Dondero to Brother Dom.
The Broncos had a chance to expand their lead just before the half, but fumbled on the goal line leaving the game tied at the break.
After a scoreless 3rd quarter Emory connected with Dom on a 48-yard pass setting up their second touchdown connection from 8-yards out putting the Broncos on top 14-7.
The defense would close out the win with sacks from Malachi Orrick and Garin Pritchard on the Pirates final drive.
Defensive lineman Joe Lent then forced an errant throw on the Pirates final offensive play sealing the win.
The Broncos will now host Morro Bay in a rematch of last years semifinal. The game will be played at John Schwab Field at BUHS with a 6pm kickoff.
Emory Dondero had a big night passing connecting on 13 of 19 passes for 209 yards and the two touchdowns.
Levi Derr caught 5 passes for 37 yards. Dom Dondoro finished with 3 catches for 68 yards and the two touchdowns.
Richie Talavera caught 3 balls for 52 yards. Elijah Reynolds led the way on the ground rushing for 72 yards on 14 carries.
Defensively Carlos Sualez and Talavera each had interceptions.
Talavera had 6 solo tackles with Sualez adding 5.
Garin Pritchard had 7 solo tackles with a pair of QB sacks and two hurries.
Orrick finished with 3 solo tackles and a QB sack.
Elliot Douda had 5 solo tackles with Reynolds adding 3 solos.
Nello Dondero and Hunter Dailey chipped in with two solo tackles.
