Bishop Broncos win there first playoffs game against Sanger West. Up next Santa Ynez this Friday Nov 13
The Broncos advance to the CIF Division 5 second round with a 41-6 win over Sanger West. Bishop Union will now host Santa Ynez Friday night at 7pm at John Schwab Field. This past Friday night the Broncos opened up a 27-0 halftime lead behind a great defensive effort and efficient offense. Emory Dondero threw for a touchdown and ran in a score in the 1st half. Fullback Malachi Orrick also ran for a pair of first half touchdowns. Freshman Knox Moffett ran in a second half touchdown and senior defensive lineman scooped up a fumble and ran 21 yards for a score. The Bronco defense was led by senior linebacker Garin Pritchard’s big night. Pritchard had 6 solo tackles with 2 tackles for a loss and forced 2 fumbles. Elijah Reynolds made 6 tackles and had a pair of quarterback hurries. Dom Dondero had a tackle for loss and recovered a fumble. Jordan Lemons had three solo tackles with a tackle for a loss and a pass break up. Elliott Douda had a key interception and made a pair of solo tackles. Nik Calderon had 4 solo tackles and Orrick had 3 solos and a tackle for loss.
