The Broncos wrap up their non-league schedule with a 37-10 win at Rim of the World High School. The Broncos sprinted out to a 27-10 halftime lead and dominated the second half moving their record to 3-2.
Bishop opens high desert league play Friday hosting Boron. Receiver Richie Talavera scored on his first two touches Friday night. Talavera scored on a reverse on the Broncos third play from scrimmage covering 74 yards.
Talavera finished the next drive catching a short pass from Emory Dondero and running 65 yards for a score. Fullback Malachi Orrick scored on a 43-yard touchdown run and Dondero completed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Levi Derr rounding out the first-half scoring.
Garin Pritchard scored on a 56-yard touchdown run and Milton Michel hit a 27 yard field goal in the second half. Defensive standouts include Elijah Reynolds with 6 solo tackles including a tackle for a loss.
Joe Lent had 4 solo tackles and three quarterback hurries. Talavera had 4 solo tackles and an interception.
Elliott Douda had 5 solo tackles and a pass breakup. Pritchard notched 5 solos and a quarterback sack. Orrick had 4 solo tackles, a tackle for a loss, and 2 hurries. Nik Calderon broke up 3 passes and recovered a fumble.
