On April 16th Bishop varsity traveled to Boron for varsity softball and came away with a victory winning 15 to 4 in 5 innings. Baileigh Momberg threw all 5 innings, allowing 2 hits, striking out 8 and 3 walks. The 2 hits came in the first inning and the Bishop defense held them the final 4 innings. Faye Spoonhunter made a solid double play to end the game.
Offensively, Katya Fierro was 2 for 3 with 1 walk, reached 1st on an error, 1 RBI, and 2 runs scored, Sienna Fuller walked once, reached first on an error, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored,Shea Ludwick reached first on an error, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored ,Ginger Lowden was 2 for 2, 1 stolen base, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored, Kris Sorensen was 2 for 3, 2 stolen bases, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored, Shelby Maillet had 1 RBI, Faye Spoonhunter was 2 for 4 , reached first twice on errors, had 2 stolen bases, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored, Cambrie Lanphear was 1 for 4 with a triple, reached first on error, had 3RBIs and 1 run scored, Braydee Momberg was 2 for 4, reached first on an error, had 1 stolen base, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored, Tannyr Ludwick was 1 for 4, 1 stolen base and 1 run scored
Bishop, coach Manuelito said the team had a solid game, getting a team total of 12 hits, aggressive base running and playing great defense to win this game. Bishop Varsity softball plays April 19th against Kern Valley at 3:15. Go Broncos!!
