Broncos clip off the Ravens wings

The BUHS Soccer team had a game against the California City Ravens on 1/9/24. The Broncos struggled to communicate in the first half and that was leading to many mistakes happening. Juan David (Senior)  gave the Broncos an early lead when he chipped the ball over the keeper. At halftime the Broncos figured out their problem and started communicating more. Armando Santana (Sophomore) scored a goal to put our Broncos up by 2. The Broncos had a corner kick and the ravens hit the goal in there own goal, putting the broncos up by 3. Gilberto Mendiola (Freshmen) snatched a goal against the Ravens and put Our Broncos up by 4. 

 

Final score 4-0

Armando Santana-Muro
Armando Santana-Muro, a sophomore at Bishop Union High School. He is 15 years old, and  Armando wants to go to UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) after high school to pursue his dream of becoming a Professional Soccer Player. His favorite subject in school right now is ELA. Armando is a student athlete, He plays Soccer, He is a midfielder, in his free time he likes to hang out with  friends, and he like to do drills at the field with his friends so they can get in shape for the season. Armando is a writer for Bronco Round Up, and is interested in writing for sports news.
Andrew Esparza
Andrew Esparza
Andrew Esparza is a senior at Bishop Union High School. After high school Andrew would like to go to lineman school in hopes to work for an electrician company in California or Nevada. His favorite subjects in school are com graph art and media and digital broadcasting. Andrew is a student athlete and he plays soccer. He is one of the two captains of the schools soccer team. His position in soccer is right back. He can play multiple positions but he prefers to play defense. Andrew in his free time likes to travel, ride quads, and spend time with family. He is a journalist for the Bronco Roundup.

My name is Amanda Thompson and I am a junior at bishop union high school. My favorite subjects in school are math and art. Outside of school I like to hang out with friends, work, and travel. After high school I plan on going to a trade school in either Montana or Texas to become a  diesel mechanic. This year in bronco roundup I plan on covering  ASB/ student senate and also doing photography for our school farm/ FFA. My freshman and sophomore year I raised a lamb in FFA and I enjoyed it a lot so I am excited to do photography for FFA.
