To help students understand that grief is universal, is felt and shown differently amongst us and that there is no timeline for healing, we will be dedicating a Remembrance Tree in the Quad starting the week of October 23rd. Students will be invited if they like, to hang a written memory, song lyrics, poems, or pictures on a pre-cut tag to honor the beautiful life of someone in their lives who has died. In the spirit of some of the cultural traditions in our community, this time is not meant to focus on sadness but instead to celebrate the beauty of life.
Remembrance Tree In The Quad
At BUHS, we would like to recognize that many of our students and staff are experiencing grief due to recent or past deaths of people they love.
