Broncos Varsity Volleyball beats Kern Valley on September 28 in 4 sets. Broncos won three sets 25-9, 26-24, and 25-19 but in the second set Broncos came up short and Kern Valley won 25-18. The Broncos are now 6-2 in League play.
Coach Frigerio indicates that the team victory was due largely to the excellent serve that was received by the entire team, which was led by libero Sophie Dishion. The excellent sets by setter Riley Van Nest which resulted in 23 assists that led to 27 kills and led Delaney Kalk with 10, Peyton Kalk with 7, Lilly Morrison with 6, and Meghenna Westervelt with 3
Coach Frigerio indicates that the blocking by the Broncos was also stellar with Peyton Kalk and Riley Van Nest collecting 3 solo blocks and with Lilly Morrison and Elizabeth Ellsworth collecting two each.
