Recently I had the chance to interview one of BUHS 2024 Seniors, Cody Truelsen so let’s learn more about this future graduate.

Cody is 17 years old with a current GPA of 4.0. His favorite classes over the 4 years have been Ms. Greene’s US and World History as she is his favorite teacher of all time. This year so far his favorite classes are Graphic Production with Mr. Centre and PE with Mr. Palu because with those classes he can be himself and keep himself moving. he likes training his body and mind and keeping them occupied. Cody was previously going to Big Pine for his Freshman year and in his Sophomore year, he transferred to BUHS because he did not like going to the high school in Big Pine. He likes it much more here than ever at Big Pine.

Cody doesn’t know how to feel about being a Senior in his own words “Honestly it’s weird I don’t really feel like I’m that much more grown up than I was 2 maybe 3 years ago but I know I have to be more focused because I have a lot more responsibilities now—its also amazing to think it’s my last year as I thought it would never happen” So far in his Senior year it has been okay for him as he still misses last year and now has to worry about his future but so far so good for his Senior year.

After Highschool Cody plans to enroll at Cerro Coso Community College here in Bishop for one year before transferring to Cal Poly in Humboldt where he wants to major in Film Production and minor in Business.

Cody likes to play video games in his free time, play DnD with his friends, and Bake. Speaking of food, his favorite food and drinks include Sweet and Spicy Chicken, Ketchup Doritos, Monster, and Liquid Death.

To finish this off, he would like to give some advice to the incoming freshmen and that is “Don’t do anything dumb that would get you in trouble as it is not worth it”
