On Thursday, August 24th, the Bishop Unified School District Board had its first regular meeting. One of the points of discussion was the Bronco Health Clinic and its memorandum of understanding with Northern Inyo Hospital this year. The Health Clinic is now available for certain things such as physical exams. They’re able to prescribe students over-the-counter pain medication or other medications such as allergy relief. They’re allowed to give X-rays and can even help student-athletes who have suffered from a concussion. The Health Clinic is located in the basement of the main building on the BUHS campus. Come in on either Tuesdays or Thursdays when the Bronco Health Clinic is open. With the Clinic being able to administer all these treatments, parents don’t need to worry about leaving their workdays for an appointment. The students also don’t have to travel far to get treatment because they can now receive what they need on campus.
