Blaise Lemons is currently a senior at BUHS. He is a very involved student at BUHS including FFA, football, baseball, Bishop Trap Shooting and young life.
This summer Blaise got the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico. I asked Blaise how his mission trip was
“It was a great learning experience,” Blaise said. “We got to help build two houses on the mission trip. My favorite thing was that I got to see the different cultures which was really interesting and handing the keys over to the new homeowners and seeing there reaction.”
Blaise is a very active member of the community and loves to help out and some of his favorite community service that he has done is being a ticket taker for the demolition derby, cleaning up trash at mule days, choo choo swap meet clean up.
I also asked him what he is looking forward to for his senior year.
“Going all out and trying to make the most enjoyable memories with my friends before senior year is over,” Blaise said. “Overall I just want to make the most of my senior year.”
Then I continued to ask what his goals were for after high school.
“I want to go into hotshots wildland firefighting and become a smokejumper which is wildland firefighting that jumps out of airplanes to fight fires,” Blaise said. “Then retire on a small farm with his family and watch the grass grow.”
