This past Friday the Bronco JV football team drove over 8 hours to Oakhurst, California. Oakhurst is only about 60 miles away from the bishop in the aerial distance, but the only way that the bus could travel was down through Bakersfield and then up to Oakhurst. This trip was so long that the football team spent the night there and drove home Saturday morning.
When the JV football team arrived and started playing only ten minutes into the game Emery Dondero scored on a quarterback keeper, and Karsen Hohenstien kicked the point after. Throughout the game Emery Dondero scored three touchdowns, Elliot Douda scored two, Dom Dondero for a pass that scored, and Jaxon White had an interception, returning it 90 yards for a touchdown.
For every touchdown, Karsen Hohenstien Kicked the point after touchdown and ended up making seven and at the end of the game, he also scored a field goal. The final score was Bishop 58, Yosemite 20.
Their next game is September 8th and will be the home opener for the Broncos.
