Bishop Broncos Strike Out Against the Boron Bobcats

Boron’s Davis strikes out 17 in the Bobcat win

On April 4 the Varsity Softball Team went against the Boron Bobcats in their home game at Field 2 at the park. The Broncos hosted the game against them with a final score of 9 to 0 letting the Bobcats have the victory. This is the first High Desert League game the Softball team has lost this season so far.

Boron Junior pitcher Hailey Davis had a big game striking out 17 broncos while allowing just 4 hits. Davis was also four for four at the plate for the Bobcats.

Junior and Captain Baileigh Momberg pitched a 7 inning which led to 11 hits giving up, striking out 14 , 3 walks and 1 hit batter.

On the offensive side Sophomore Sienna Fuller had a 1 base hit, while Senior and Captain Madi Tores had also 1 base hit. Senior and Captain Jayda Jackson had 1 base on ball , while Junior Kristen Sorenson had 1 base stolen during the game.

The next game the Softball team is going to be on Tuesday April, 11 against the Cal City Ravens which is going to be an away game. The next time the Broncos go against the Boron Bobcats is on Thursday May, 11 for the second time this season and they are going to come back with a powerful comeback.
