The Start of JV Girls Basketball

With basketball starting up it’s good to know a little bit about the head coaches and their anticipation for the season. I had a little Q and A with the head coach of JV girls basketball Tammy Spoonhunter.

Q:How long have you been a basketball coach at Bishop High School?

A:“I have been a coach on and off for about 5 years.”

Q:What is the best part about being a coach?

A:“What I like about coaching is learning how to teach the game. Seeing players improve and watch their confidence grow.”

Q:Do you think this is going to be a good season for your girls? Why or Why not?

A:“I would say that this year’s team has a good chance to have a good season but it all falls on players and their motivation.”

Q:What do you think is going to be the biggest disadvantage for team?

A:“The biggest disadvantage would have to be height, it’s going to be difficult to defend taller players.”

Q:What do you think is going to be the biggest advantage for the team?

A:“Their biggest advantage I see right now is their drive and motivation to learn the game.”

Q:What team do you believe is going to give us the hardest time?

A:“Kern Valley for sure and maybe Desert.”

It sounds like a great start to the season for Broncos Jv Girls Basketball.
