Bronco Softball falls to Boron

The Bishop Broncos softball team dropped their third HDL game falling to Boron 7-0 Tuesday. The loss moves the Broncos to 11-3 in High Desert League play and 13-6 overall. The Broncos are a half game ahead of Cal City for 2nd place in the HDL standings behind unbeaten Boron. Bishop wraps up the regular season Thursday at rival Kern Valley.
In the loss to Boron, Senior Geneva Molina pitched all 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 6 walks while striking out 11 bobcats. Only 3 of Boron’s 7 runs were earned.
Offensively the Broncos struggled with only 2 hits on the day. Kayla Jackson and Eva Weaver both had base hits.
Prior to the game the Broncos honored their senior athletes. Kayla Jackson, Leilani Torres, Lyndsey Rowan, Geneva Molina, and Jaylee Doll are the senior Broncos.
