Three Bronco Pitchers Combine for a No-Hitter

Acie Validiva, Jake Frigerio, and Albert Cano pitched for the Bishop Broncos tossing a combined no-hitter. Validivia pitched for the first 3 innings with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Frigerio pitched the next 3 innings with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Cano closed the game with 3 walks and 1 strike-out. Bishop Broncos took the victory in the seventh inning with eight runs.

Cano was led by singles and Jonithen Thomson, by Kennedy Batchelder,  a groundout by Riley Eropkin, by Valdivia, made an error on a ball put in a play by Cain Omohundro. Eropkin singled on a 3-2 count scoring two runs 

Bishop Broncos racking up 12 hits in the game. Cano, Thomson, Eropkin, and Reese Dondero all collected multiple hits for the Broncos. Dondero, Eropkin, Thomson, and Cano each collected two hits to lead the  Broncos. Bishop Broncos didn’t commit a single error in the field.  Bishop Broncos stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Omohundro led the way with three.

The Bishop Broncos have their last home game on Tuesday, May 10th at 3:15 it will be a celebration for all the seniors on the baseball team.
