Caleb Gillem leads Bishop Broncos to a Win with Four Hits

The Bishop Broncos took the win over Mammoth Lakes with a final score of 25-6 Tuesday. Caleb Gillem collected four hits in five at-bats. Gillem doubled in the second, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth. The Broncos scored 9 runs in the second inning virtually putting the game away. Kennedy Batchelder had a big hit singling on a 0-2 count diving in a run. Reese Dondero singled on a 2-2 count scoring two runs.

Albert Cano singled on the first pitch at the bat scoring two runs. Gillem doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs, and Batchelder

Broncos had 11 runs in the sixth inning. Gillem, Batchelder, Riley Eropkin, Dondero, Cano, and Acie Valdivia all had big innings with RBIs.

Acie Valdivia got the start on the pitcher’s mound for the Bishop Broncos. Jake Frigerio pitched the final four innings allowing one hit, zero runs, and 6 strikeouts. Bishop Broncos’ next game will be Thursday at 3:15 in Rosemond.
