Bishop Bronco Softball Takes Down the Frazier Falcons

The Bronco softball team improves to 8-4 overall and 7-1 in High Desert League play with a 17-3 win at Frazier Mt. Baileigh Momberg was the starting pitcher on road at Frazier Mt this past Friday. Momberg pitched 3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks, with 7 strikeouts. Geneva Molina then took over pitching duties throwing 2 innings allowing no runs, no hits, no walks, while striking out 4.

Offensively, Kayla Jackson hit twice, with 2 pitches hitting her, and scoring 3 runs. Baileigh Momberg, 2 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and 2 RBI’s. Jaylee Doll with 3 walks, and scoring 4 runs. Lyndsey Rowan, Jayda Jackson, Deborah Fallingstar, Madi Torres, and Eva Weaver each scored 1 or more.

Head Coach Lisa Manuelito notes that the Broncos suffered two injuries during the game and the players were unable to continue.  Leilani Torres was hit by an inside pitch in the first inning and Eva Weaver injured her ankle in a slide at home. Manuelito is hopeful that they will both be able to return to the team soon.
