Bishop Union High School Tennis Girls Advance To The CIF

The Bishop Union High School girls tennis team finished their season playing in the High Desert League individual finals hosting four schools. Four schools attended with Bishop serving as the host with 6 girls competing in doubles and singles for a single elimination tournament. Bishop was able to place 2nd in doubles and singles.

 

Senior Ximena Cervantes won her first match 6-2 6-1 to move on to the quarter finals, where she beat the #1 seed in the tournament 6-3 7-5.  Cervantes then played in the finals losing her second tie in a tie break 3-7 for her scores 1-6 6-7 3-7.

 

Double teams of Olivia Ellis and Darby Swanson won their first match 6-0 6-3 their second match 6-3 6-4 and lost in the finals, which also went to two tie-breakers 2-6 6-7 tie break 4-10 break.

 

Ximena Cervates, Olivia Ellis, Darby Swanson will now advance to the CIF to play individuals at the event held in Stockdale CA on friday Oct 29th.
