On May 21, 2021 the Lindsay Lady Cardinals soccer team hosted the Bishop Lady Broncos for the second round of CIF playoffs. In the first half of this game Alex Morales scored the first goal with an assist from Jaden Davis, putting the Broncos ahead.

In the second half Lindsay scored, tying up the game 1-1 and making it the final score of the first 90 mins. Then finishing 1-1 they had to go into two 10 min overtime halfs and that’s when the Lindsay girls took the lead making the score 2-1 and making it the final score of the game.

This wasn’t just the final game of the season but the final high school game for the 3 seniors, Taylor Dailey, Jordan Pritchard, and Averly Haye.

I talked to captain Taylor Dailey, I asked her, What were your thoughts about this final game? And What are your thoughts about the season being over? She responded saying “We gave our all when we played Lindsay. We were an evenly matched team against them but, unfortunately, the odds weren’t with us during overtime,”Taylor Dailey said “The season was super fun. We started off thinking we wouldn’t get to play a game. I’m very thankful that we got a season and we’re able to play CIF.”
