Two of our Track and Field distance runners went to the West Coast Relays in Clovis California, Saturday, May 1st. Sierra Burror placed second in the 3200 meters race. She lowered both her school record and her personal best from 10:54.19 to 10:51.29. Sierra Burror has beaten the school record quite a few times this year and is looking forward to beating it again soon.

Ashley Fitt is a freshman this year and she had the honor of going to the West Coast Relays on Saturday too. Fitt set a new personal best for herself in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:43.75. her previous best was 5:46.64.

This coming weekend Burrow will be competing in the 3200 meters at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational. No Bishop Union Highschool Track and Field athlete has ever competed there.

Ashley Fitt will be competing at the selective  Russell Cup in Carpentaria this weekend as well and hoping to lower her time even more.
