Coming up, the California State High School Clay Target League is scheduled to host the state tournament In Kingsburg. Every league member from certain school districts is invited to participate. However, due to COVID-19’s negative effects on supply lines, materials and labor costs, the league has increased the in-person tournament fee to $45 per student to cover the cost of clay targets and t-shirts. The tournament will be held on June 5th, 2021 at the Kingsburg Gun Club, beginning at 10:00 am. All athletes will shoot 100 targets and are responsible for providing their own ammunition which must adhere to gun club policies. The event has 40 trap houses spread about a half-mile across the land. If planning to participate, all athletes must register before May 3rd!
