Theater Club
Since it has been about five years since there has been a theater club on BUHS’ campus, Abbey Gabriel decided to change this and had to work hard in order to find a production and people who are willing to commit to the club. She managed to find an advisor, apply for the licensing for a play, fill out multiple facility request forms for rehearsal spaces, and cast the show.
“I decided to start this club because I love acting and I want those who are passionate about theater to have a place to hone their craft and practice acting… and to anyone who wants to join I would say we welcome anyone no matter the age or experience level. We want this club to be the safe space for teenagers to express themselves in ways other platforms do not allow them to do.”
The production is set to be on April 3rd and 4th at the Multi-Purpose Room at the middle school where they will be performing is Harry’s Hotter at Twilight.’ The club has rehearsals Monday – Thursday every week.
