Bishop Tennis Bounces Past Kern Valley

Bishop Tennis VS. Kern Valley
Bishop Tennis dominated Kern Valley on September 29, 2016, setting their way to victory. The singles players started off strong, beginning with Morgan Hosch, her first match was a bit shaky, 1-6, but came back by winning her second set, 6-2, following with a tiebreak, leading with a score of 10-4. Starting off the game with the first win, Lily McGrale then steps out on the court winning the second match with scores of 6-1 and 6-0, following with Caroline Hagopian winning the third match as well, leading with scores of 6-2, and 7-5. As Bishop’s 4th singles player steps out, Cayley Dishion has a rough start, losing her first set with a score of 0-6, but dominates her second set ending with a score of 7-5, and dominates the match by winning her tie break with a score of 11-9. Kiley Beard, Bishop’s fifth singles player, steps out winning both of her sets, ending with scores of 6-2, and 6-1. Last, but not least, Tami Lee puts up a fight in her first set, barely losing with a score of 5-7, and ends her second set with a score of 1-6.
As Bishop’s doubles players head on out to the court, Madeline Tomasek and Nora Cimino start off a little shaky, losing their first set with a score of 0-6, but they dominate their second set ending with a score of 6-1, but hardly lose their tie break, with a score of 7-9. Starting off the second doubles match, Josie Dillard and Molly Foster step out, dominating the first set, ending with a score of 7-5, and their second set was almost a win, ending with a score of 2-6, and barely losing their tie break with a score of 5-10. Ivy Means and Evelyn Lopez fight hard, and lose with scores of 0-6, and 1-6. Kira Baiano and Serena Lopez played very well, but lose with scores of 0-6, and 2-6.
Coach Patty Cummings addressed game saying that, “Bishop is now tied with Kern Valley for first after the first round of the play.” Overall Coach Cummings said that, “They all united again today as a team, that’s what I love about these girls.” Coach also mentioned that, “They all support each other, and are not so much focused about their individual performance, but work together so the team succeeds as a whole, can’t ask for more than that.” The Bishop Team had an magnificent win, and will achieve more victories in the future.
