On the 16th and 17th of this November, the California State fire association is holding an event for a live fire training which will teach you how to attack the fire and other things throughout the weekend. This entire event is funded by the federal SAFER grant and all the volunteers will take their own time to help others understand what to do. There will be helpers from Olancha, Chalfant valley, and Independence. Some of these firefighters will bring training props and a burn trailer to fight the fire. If you want to come, go to the airport and watch or talk to the fighters.
