Bishop Celebrates Homecoming in Grand Fashion

The Broncos had a dominant game over the Boron Bobcats Friday, winning 56-6. After a couple minutes of play, the only drama left was who was going to win homecoming queen and king because the Broncos were up 21-0 after the first quarter. After Justin Brooks and Carla China won king and queen the large crowd cleared out shortly after halftime as the Broncos built a 42-0 lead.

In the third quarter, the Bronco Luke McClean scored a rushing touchdown on their first play making the score 49-0. McClean’s touchdown marked his 6th of the game. The Bronco quarterback rushed for over 100 yards and passed for over 100 yards.

McClean was named offensive player accounting for 36 of the 56 points. Steven Paco keyed the rushing attack that rolled up over 300 yards on the night. Paco ran for 125-yards and a touchdown. Kennedy Batchelder was overall player of the game with 9 solo tackles and he “played great on the offensive line,” according to Coach Arnie Palu

Jaydan Braithwaite was named defensive player of the game and Zach Majaro was pulled up from junior varsity earning special teams player of the game. Junior Joe Weaver ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass.

The Broncos now move on to Cal City on Friday @7:00 for the league championship game.
