Broncos vs. Broncs

The Bishop Broncos played their Senior Night game last Friday, hosting rival Kern Valley. Before the game the Broncos has a chance to honor their seniors, the seniors this year include Jaydan Braithwaite, Ian Murphy, Luke McClean, Juan Munoz, Joey Molina, Darren Dondero, Jon Torres, Justin Brooks, and Tristan Valle.

Bishop led 14-0 after a pair of touchdowns by Steven Paco until right before half time letting Kern slip by for their only touchdown of the game. Bishop took a 14-6 lead into halftime.  The Broncos dominated the second half winning the game by a final score of 40-6. 

Luke McClean had a big game in all three phases as he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown and also threw a touchdown pass to Joe Weaver. Defensively McClean made 5 solo tackles and picked off a pass. McClean also handled punt and kick off duties. 

Offensive MVP honors go to Steven Paco who rushed for a season-high 214 yards and 4 touchdowns. Senior linebacker Darren Dondero made a team-high 8 solo tackles and intercepted 2 Kern Valley passes. Sophomore Kennedy Batchelder made one of the games biggest hits while running down on kick off coverage. 

Bishop hopes to extend their winning streak to 5 after Friday against the Rosamond Roadrunners.
