Bishop Broncos vs. Sierra Chieftains

The Bishop Broncos continued their winning streak Friday against Sierra High School in Tollhouse. Bishop won 47-0 making it their second shutout game. The Broncos ended their first half with 20 points and came back even stronger in the second half, scoring 27 points. 

Darren Dondero was named defensive player of the game with 6 solo tackles. Junior Steven Paco was named offensive player of the night with 4 rushing touchdowns and an interception on defense plus a key punt return. The overall player of the night was Kennedy Batchelder after a strong night blocking on the offensive line and having some of the biggest hits for the night defensively.  

Senior Luke McClean was named special teams player of the game for handling kicking duties and making a couple of key special teams tackles. McClean also had a big night offensively, catching a touchdown pass and running for a touchdown in the team’s third consecutive game. 

With the win, the Broncos improve to 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in High Desert League play.  The Broncos return to league play this week hosting rival Kern Valley for Senior Night.
