Varsity Softball on Two Game Spree

Varsity Softball had a great game last night besting Cal City by 10-2. Manese Braithwaite pitched all 7 innings and threw 3 hits, 13K’s along with 4BB’s. On the offensive side, Braithwaite went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI. Montana McIntosh went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. Kayla Jackson hit 1 for 4 with a triple and Avery Swanson hit the same with a double as well. Jeanine Lomaintewa hit 1 for 3 and Dot Jarvis went 1 for 4.
Mrs Vannest had this to say about the game “The girls played outstanding today as a team. MaNeSe was on fire on the mound and the defense had her back. Offensively we executed bunts, stolen bases, and hits. We are now 3-6 in league 6-10 overall. Next up I hear Boron softball cancelled so we are at Kern Valley Tuesday April 30th.”
This was the only time the Varsity Girls will play this week because Thursday’s home game is canceled due to Boron withdrawing from the competition.
