Varsity Softball on 3 Game Losing Streak

Varsity softball suffered a big loss on Monday against Burroughs with a closing score of Bishop 1 and Boroughs 13. The pitcher, MaNeSe Braithwaite, threw 4 innings giving up 13 runs, 1 walk and striking out 4 batters. On the offensive side, Braithwaite went 2 for 3, Lauren Allen went 1 for 1, Isa Vasquez hit 1 for 2, and Montana McIntosh at 1 for 2.

Stacy Van Nest, Athletic Director and Coach of the team, had this to say about the game “ The girls did a great job under windy conditions minimizing errors and handling a tough offense. Plus playing on a Monday! We are still 2-6 in league and now 4-10 overall. Next up Mineral County at home on Thursday”.

The Varsity Girls’ next game will be against Mineral County at home on Thursday, so make sure to come out and support the team!
