Every Fifteen Minutes

Every Fifteen Minutes is a two-day program for high school junior and seniors. The Every Fifteen Minutes program challenges them to think about drinking, driving and the responsibility of making mature decisions. Here at BUHS there were a couple juniors and seniors who participated in the reenactment of what happens when a DUI happens.

On Wednesday April 3, all juniors and seniors met out in front of the school and watched the live footage of Every Fifteen Minutes. On Thursday April 4, the juniors and seniors met in the auditorium and watched the finale product of every fifteen minutes. Here is some feedback from the juniors and seniors in response to the final product.

Sydney Ellis, high school junior said, “It was very compelling and gave you a sense of reality.”

Shelby Haye, high school senior said, “I thought that if you are willing to take it seriously it was very good. The acting was very good. Having the police talk to us about his experiences was very informational. It is a good message to remind people to not drink and drive.”
