Varsity Softball goes 1 and 1 Over Spring Break

Varsity Bronco Girls vs. Kern Valley and Boron

Over spring break, the Varsity Bronco Softball girls played against Boron and Kern Valley. They traveled to Boron on Tuesday, March 26th and this was their first win for league season. Their second game, against Kern Valley, was on Friday, March 29th at home. During this game, however, the girl’s lost by 16 runs and the game ended via the mercy rule.

“It was team effort today and all of the girls put forth great work.” said Coach Van nest after their win in Boron, “We produced hits and played defense well. We are now 1-3 in league and 3-6 overall.” During this game the girls won by 7 runs.

After the loss against Kern Valley, Coach Van nest stated that, “We can’t win without any runs so we look to improve upon our offense against a very tough pitcher. We are now 1-4 in league and 3-7 overall.”

Geneva Molina pitched 2 innings, 5 runs, 5 hits, 1 K, 3 BB’s
Lauren Allen pitched 1 innings, 1 run, 2 hits, 0 K’s, 0 BB’s
Offensively: We put the ball in play 6 times. Kudos to Dakota Reynolds for ruining Kern Valley’s perfect game when she drew a walk.
