Broncos Pick Up Second Consecutive Win

The Broncos went on the road to take on the Cal-City Ravens last Friday, and ended up walking out with an 18-8 win. The Broncos started of well in the first, putting two runs across in the top of the inning, but giving up one in the bottom half. The second inning was much of the same, the Broncos putting up 5 runs in the top half, but the Ravens once again answered with three of their own in the bottom of the inning. In the third, the Broncos brought home three more runs and were able to keep the Ravens off the board for the first time in the game, but gave up four more runs in the bottom of the fourth after a six run top of the inning. The Broncos then scored two more runs in the top of the fifth, before shutting down the Ravens offense to win the game.

Senior Justin Yates once again had a great start, as well as a great day at the plate, going 3 innings giving up four runs, two earned, on 6 hits, one walk, and 5 strikeouts on the mound, while going 2-4 with 4 RBIs, with a double, as well as scoring three runs. Senior Brodie Maloney went 1-1 with 3 RBIs with a double and three runs scored, Junior Michael Kubiak had three RBIs despite going hit-less, and Senior Lorenzo Parra went 1-2 with a 2-run home run.

The Broncos will take on Frazier Mountain here at home on Tuesday, so wish the boys luck and come out to support them!
