The Bishop Broncos traveled to Rosamond for the first place spot in the High Desert League against the RoadRunners. The Broncos set the score (2-0) 10 minutes into the first half of the match both goals scored by Hugo Santana. The last league game took place on May 7th.

The RoadRunners score a goal later in the first half to go into the second half of the match (2-1). The Broncos score a third goal (3-1) early in the second half. The RoadRunners made a comeback and tie up the match (3-3) with two more goals in the second half. With a free-kick from Hugo Santana at the end of the second half of the match, the Broncos take the win (4-3) over the Rosamond RoadRunners. The Bishop Broncos place first in the High Desert League, along with Hugo Santana recognized for most goals In HDL finishing with 14 goals scored in the short season. The Broncos move on to playoffs and travel to Farmersville to play the first game at 6:00 on Thursday the 20th.

For spectators interested in viewing a match, COVID guidelines have not yet changed, 4 people of each player’s household allowed to attend and view. CIF procedure for COVID may be different and will be announced if they are to arise.
